This is My Story
A complex shoulder injury in my teens, and an unhealthy lifestyle at university, meant that my health diminished as a young adult... overweight, tired and emotionally exhausted! Whilst opening my mind to a more health lifestyle, I realised in my 20s that I had a curiosity about how food, and other wellness practices, had the potential to support the body and mind.

However, it’s not always been straightforward. Some elements of wellness have been easier said than done! Over the years, responsibilities, work demands, sleep deprivation, bringing little people into the world, finances …. Stress! …. have all taken their toll and despite my best efforts, have affected my health as it can do for so many of us.
Given how stress impacts our biology, and the close relationship between the gut and brain, It is unsurprising that I have experienced some significant health challenges resulting in gallbladder removal surgery and symptoms of digestive distress such as severe pain and bloating.
Fortunately, nourishing my body and mind through nutrition, sleep, relaxation, purpose-driven activity (to name just a few things) have steered my health back in a positive direction.
Ultimately, our bodies know how to heal. If we let them, there is a way! They know how to balance, but we need to give them the right environment to thrive … and nutrition and our lifestyle practices are key to enabling our bodies to do just that.
